Dear Sarah,
As returning customers to the Blaikie House, we thought we knew what to expect upon our arrival. Once again, you have gone above and beyond our expectations. We would like to thank you both for making our anniversary trip to the Blaikie House every bit as special and as memorable as our first visit. The chocolate dipped strawberries was the first "special touch" that caught my eye. Of course, I thought it must be normal in the Blue Room. Finding out later that it was for our anniversary made it even more special.
My ability to keep secrets from Louise, is not very well, as I feel that keeping a secret is as bad as lying to her. If I would have picked up a bottle of wine, which rarely happens, she would have asked me what I was buying it for, therefore, the bottle of complimentary wine was another special touch. The home made butter tarts were delicious, as were the fresh picked raspberries.
Breakfast, again, was excellent. Among all our excitement, and fine conversation, I forgot to mention that Louise and I love French Toast, and I have made her different types of French Toast for Valentine's Day Breakfasts. Which brings me now to another favorite thing of mine. Quite often, when making blueberry scones at work, I have purchased a package to take home, as I love scones and I love blueberries. Sobeys' scones will never taste the same again after our anniversary visit with you at the Blaikie House. Yours are the best scones I have ever tasted. Again, thank you VERY much for everything. You made it special for us. We WILL be back.

I don't know how many of your guests actually email you to thank you for providing such lovely accommodations , but my beautiful new bride, Louise, and I are still amazed at how our night at the Blaikie House was the perfect first stop on our honeymoon after getting married in an 1800's fashion wedding on July 30, 2005.
Being History lovers, we listened with our chins in our laps when my mother told us of the tour of the Blaikie House that she and my stepfather had while visiting his brother, down in Truro. My mother gave me a web site to visit to see it for myself. Well, when we took the online tour , that's when it was decided that the Blaikie House would be the first stop on our honeymoon.
Yes, we were still in the early stages of our wedding plans, but we decided that the early stages of our honeymoon plans should also be taken into consideration. We then decided that each night of our honeymoon would consist of a different Historic Bed & Breakfast in Nova Scotia , as we already knew that Nova Scotia has many beautiful Historic homes. Well, after leaving the Blaikie House, we kept driving until we arrived in Grand Pre, and there were no B&B's with the curb appeal of the Blaikie House, so we ended up staying in a very new motel the following night.
Many of our conversations have since revolved around the Blaikie House , and we are already planning to spend our first anniversary there , but, truthfully, that was already decided before we checked out.
Before I say my final words, I must say that our online tour of the Blaikie House, though impressive enough to take us there, showed nowhere near the true beauty you see when you step inside the house, and I must say that you are a lovely couple who made us feel welcome from the minute I called to check on any vacancies. The evening tea upon our arrival, with the home made butter tarts and fresh strawberries, the delicious maple baked eggs, and the fine conversation made us eager to return. We will definitely recommend this place, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for what I consider "A Blaikie House Experience."
